Dear Mr. Owusu,
There are days I dont know where I would be without you. When I'm in panic mode, when my brain shuts out all reason, when I can't see straight, when I'm close to giving up, when I think I'm not smart enough......strong enough......good enough or dedicated enough to reach my goals......I pick up the phone and you're always there to remind me how far I've come. You remind me it's not going to be easy, I'm going to have to put in the work, everyone at some point feels what I'm feeling and I need to change my thinking. You tell me to stop making excuses, you believe in my capability to succeed at whatever it is I'm doing. Ninety eight percent of the time I believe in my capability too. Every once in awhile that two percent shows it's ugly face and knocks me on my ass. When it does, you ALWAYS extend your hand and help me back up. You say it's not a big deal and you don't do anything but listen to me, but to me, it's a huge deal.
Thank you for:

Thank you for:
- Reminding me how far I've come
- Reminding me I have a big brain ;)
- Understanding how it feels
- Believing in me
- Relating to my scheduling and school struggles
- Giving me new perspectives
- Making me laugh
- Making me think
- Calming me down
- Acknowledging the struggle but not letting me wallow in it
- Basically, thanks for being you and being a friend to me for all these years :)
